The Servants Position (Ephesians 5:6+ ) |
6. I let no one delude and deceive me with empty excuses and groundless arguments which encourage immorality, thereby avoiding the wrath of God which comes on those who share in such deeds of darkness. 9. For the fruit of the Spirit is in every form of kindly goodness, uprightness of heart, and trueness of life. 10. I try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. I let my life be a constant proof of what is most acceptable to Him. 14. God has said to me and I have heard " Awaken, O sleeper and arise from the dead and Christ shall shine upon you and give you light" 15. I look carefully how I walk. I live purposfully, worthily, and accurately, not as unwise and witless but as wise. 16. I make the most of the time because the days are evil. 17. Therefore, I am not vague, thoughtless and foolish, but I understand and firmly grasp what is the will of the Lord. 18. I do not get drunk with wine for that is debauchery, but I am ever being filled with the Holy Spirit. 19. I speak to my brothers and sisters in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. I offer praise with my voice and with instruments, making melody with all my heart to the Lord. 20. At all times and for everything, I give thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father. 21. I subject myself to my brethren out of reverence for Christ |
